10 of Swords, 7 of Swords + Knight of Wands

The 10 of Swords and 7 of Swords in combination with each other suggest that there’s been a deep betrayal. Perhaps people have been showing you exactly who they are, but I get the sense that this reading resonates more with those of you who have been dealing with the after effects of a bad breakup or situationship. Things got messy during the ending of this relationship. Words were shared, feelings were expressed, and you’ve been left feeling desolate. I get the feeling that you put your all into this relationship just for it to not pan out and now you’re dealing with the healing from that. This betrayal runs deep because perhaps this is a person you never expected to do you the way they did or this is someone you’ve been with for so long, you never expected them to turn out the way they have. The 10 of Swords indicates that you spend a lot of time thinking about this betrayal—that sometimes it keeps you up at night or the memories you had with this person plague you at the worst times, causing a bit of depression or moments of sadness. The 7 of Swords suggests that this person walked away from your relationship with more than they left you with, and I recognize that this is one of the primary causes for your feelings of betrayal. This person was able to walk away from the situation relatively unscathed while you’ve had to struggle to put the pieces together. Even if they were the cause for everything.

For those of you that this doesn’t resonate on the level of a relationship for, this could resonate with familial relationships—especially parental relationships. You may feel betrayed by a parent and/or feel as if you’ve had to heal from things your parent(s) have done. Perhaps they’ve been able to move on from the things they’ve done or have absolved themselves from the mess they’ve created, yet you’ve been tasked with carrying the weight they seemingly put down.

No matter how this resonates, you’re being called not to dwell on this and focus more on your healing. Yes, you’ve been done wrong and it’s okay to acknowledge that. It’s okay to sit in that for a minute because it’s been a shock to the nervous system. However, with this Knight of Wands, you have the ability to bounce back. Though they might have betrayed you or made you feel small, you are still a magnet for good things. Their betrayal doesn't define you. The situation they left you in doesn’t define you.

I also get the sense that for those who are the betrayer, they knew how much of a light you were and they did their best to snuff that out. Their primary objective was to steal your warmth and they don’t expect you to bounce back. It’s not your job to show them just how brilliant you are, but I suggest learning to shine without them and their approval. Now is a good time to work on your light and putting your energy into the things that bring you enjoyment and that make your light shine brighter. You are perfectly fine on your own, even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes. Yes, you might have been reliant on this person and their leaving or their betrayal leaves a gap that you’re trying to figure out how to fill, but you are capable. You always have been. Embrace the Knight of Wands and charge forward with the fire and gumption that’s been there all along.

It’s time to awaken things that have been long since buried due to the actions and energy of this person.
